simplify

air flight container

Toby Ziegler is a London-based artist, whose work I recently saw in Museum of Contemporary art Kiasma. The show was called The Alienation of Objects and ,quite frankly, I think he's brilliant. The man takes his inspiration from books and pictures of historical works of art, and creates form of his own work on the computer, from which he makes the models in paper. After all that he makes the actual aluminum sculptures. But the brilliant part is that he takes historical art works, that have been destroyed or gotten lost, works that only exist now on photographs, and gives them a so called second life, by reworking them completely, mostly by simplifying the form and reducing the information.

peter, bjorn & john - paris 2004

I really love these earrings I purchased in stockholm from h&m. I showed them in a previous post as well, but this is a more detailed picture.

Few days ago, when I was visiting my dad in Helsinki and we went out shopping and to Kiasma I decided to wear them. My outfit was really simple: a white top, black sneakers, jeans, coat and an oversized cardigan. I think, that the earrings and the makeup really finish off the look. That's exactly my style- something simple with something spectacular.
